Pode-se dizer que a semana aqui em casa foi ‘multimídia’. 😀 E cheia de sobrinhos!

Meu sobrinho de SC veio passar uns dias conosco como também minha sobrinha mais velha. Fora os que estavam passando a semana aqui entre casas ainda. Foi a festa! Não deu nem uma hora que meu sobrinho tinha chego e já estavam todos brincando como se fizesse dias que estivessem juntos. Isto é algo muito legal das crianças, ignoram as convenções sociais e vão direto ao ponto: ‘quer brincar comigo? Quero!’ E lá vão elas.

A festa esta semana incluiu, ‘shows  de adungu’ (um instrumento musical típico de Uganda) pelos dois menores, uma peça de teatro da ‘Chapeuzinho Azul’, muitas brincadeiras, roupas malucas e pintura de desenhos.

Lembro que quando eu e minhas irmãs éramos menores, adorávamos montar ‘espetáculos’ para os meus pais que, coitados, tinham que vir assistir nossas produções mirabolantes de ‘ballet’, teatro e apresentações em geral. Acho que o gen passou para a próxima geração. Porque não faltam apresentações de netos aqui em casa. 😀

Uma das minhas sobrinhas está aprendendo a escrever. Ela passa horas copiando letras e palavras que ainda não sabe ler. Depois de devidamente escrito ela pede para a gente ler para ela. Por enquanto é só copiar e escrever. Ler e escrever de verdade vem depois. Uma figura.

As cantorias dos menores é hilária de se ouvir! Morro de rir com eles e suas letras malucas! Quem sabe um dia destes eu posto um video com os showzinhos que eles dão.

You can say our week here was a ‘multimedia’ week. And full of children too!

My nephew from this post came to spend a few days with us as well as my oldest niece. That’s not counting the three who were already here. It was a blast! Not even an hour had passed since he had arrived and he was already deep into their games and plays. As if he had arrived days and not minutes before.  That’s the great thing about children, they skip conventionalities and go straight to the point ‘Want to play? Yes’. And there they go.

The week included Adungu concerts (a typical Ugandan instrument) by the two youngest, a play named ‘Little Blue Riding Hood’, lots of playing together, crazy outfits and lots of coloring.

I remember when my sisters and I were little, how much we loved to perform for my parents. The poor people had to come watch our crazy ‘ballet’, drama and choreographic performances. The gene must have passed on to the next generation because there’s no shortage of performances now that they have are here. 😀

One of my nieces is learning to write. She spends hours writing down letters and words and then comes to us to read it for her. So far she can only copy, reading and actual writing is yet to come.

The songs the youngest two come up with are hilarious. Both in lyrics and in sounds. I laugh so hard hearing the stuff they come up with! One of these days I’ll post a video with one of their concerts. In the meantime, here are the pictures. 🙂
