Projeto Infância – 40/52 – Ao vivo e a cores | Live and in color

Semana passada minha irmã que mora fora do Brasil chegou de surpresa. Vieram ela e a filha de 3 anos. Na verdade, dizer que foi surpresa é pouco. Nunca, jamais, esperávamos que as duas viessem assim de sopetão e sem falar nada. Gritamos e choramos de alegria quando nos vimos no aeroporto. Fazia 2,5 a nos que não nos víamos ao vivo.

O tempo com elas tem sido uma delícia, e minha sobrinha então, nem se fala. Que maravilha podermos amassá-la e beijá-la e conversar ao vivo e sem um computador no meio. Estamos nos divertindo horrores!

Claro que os primos também ficaram doidos com a chegada dela. Como minha irmã mora fora do Brasil, minha sobrinha entende tudo mas ainda fala pouco português. O comentário da mais velha dos três para a minha irmã quando chegaram foi: ‘Nossa tia, ela tá bem hein? Tão pequena e fala inglês direitinho!’ 😀

Enquanto isto, as interações entre os 4 são muito engraçadas de se assistir. Houve uma pequena guerra de egos (como você pode ver na segunda foto) entre o sobrinho mais novo e a recém-chegada mas todos brincaram bem apesar disto. Fizeram apresentações de ballet,  brincaram na balança até não mais poder, riram e choraram. Tem sido dias inesquecíveis.

Me faz pensar na importância de criarmos laços com eles quando ainda são pequenos, antes que cresçam e as coisas fiquem mais difíceis.

Last week my sister who lives overseas came for a surprise visit and brought her 3 year-old daughter with her. To call it a surprise is an understatement. We never, not in a million years, expected them to show up unannounced. We screamed and cried when we all met at the airport. It had been 2,5 years since we had last met.

Time with them has been awesome. Equally awesome is having my niece around. So great to be able to hold her, tickle and kiss her live and in the flesh without a computer screen between us. We’re having so much fun!

Of course the cousins went crazy with their arrival. Since my sister lives overseas my niece understands portuguese but doesn’t speak it very much yet. My 6 year-old niece told my sister ‘Your daughter is doing well, isn’t she? So small and she’s already fluent in english!’ 😀

In the meantime, the interactions among the 4 of them are the funniest thing to watch. Of course there was the inevitable jealousy and fighting specially between my youngest nephew and the newest arrived but they all played well together in spite of it. They did a ballet presentation together, played on the swings until they were tired, laughed and cried. It’s been an unforgettable week.

Makes me thing how important it is to bond with them while they are still small, before they grow up and things prove more difficult.
