Projeto Infância – 48/52 – Um dia de Buzz | A Buzz Lightyear Day

Dois dos meus sobrinhos estão para fazer aniversário. Fazia um tempo que tinha comprado os presentes e, como faltam poucas semanas resolvi dar adiantado. Minha maior preocupação era a roupa de Buzz Lightyear que comprei para o meu sobrinho, não tinha certeza de que iria caber e estava com medo de que ele não pudesse usá-la por muito tempo se ela ficasse pequena.

Dei os presentes para os dois de aniversário e minha sobrinha do meio ficou encasquetada que não tinha ganho nada. Ficou bem chateada na verdade. Mas eu não tinha presente para ela. Usamos a oportunidade para ensiná-la que nem sempre ganhamos coisas. Ainda mais quando o aniversário é dos outros. Difícil de aprender esta lição, mas necessária. Senão se criam crianças que não podem ver a felicidade dos outros sem quererem algo para si.

Mas a melhor parte foi a cara e a reação do meu sobrinho ao ver a roupa. Ele ficou quase mudo de tanta empolgação! ‘Uma roupa de Buzz… Lightyear!…’ ele falou em um sussuro como que para sim mesmo. Era como se não acreditasse. Foi o máximo! Me diverti mais do que ele! 😀

Colocou a roupa e não tirou mais, obviamente. 😀 Passou o dia com a roupa e nem sei como minha irmã fez para tirá-la na hora de tomar banho.

Acho que a Bíblia está certa em dizer ‘Melhor é dar do que receber’! 😉

My oldest niece and my nephew are about to have their birthdays. I had already bought the gifts and, since we’re only a couple of weeks away from the date I decided to give it to them. I was worried the Buzz Lightyear outfit I had bought my nephew would fit too tight or would be too small for him.

I gave them their gifts and their sister was not happy with me. I had no gift for her and could not conjure something up from thin air. So we used the opportunity to teach her we don’t always get the things we want, specially when it’s someone else’s birthday. It is always a lesson that’s hard to learn, but necessary. Or else we raise children who cannot see someone else’s happiness without wanting something for themselves.

But the best part of all was my nephew’s face and reaction when he saw the clothes. He almost went speechless! 😀 ‘A… Buzz Lightyear outfit!’ he whispered to himself as if he couldn’t believe his eyes. It was like he couldn’t believe the outfit was his. It was awesome! I had more fun than he did! 😀

He put the outfit on and kept it on throughout the day, of course. 😀 I have no idea how my sister took it off of him when it was time for him to shower.

I think the Bible is right when it says ‘It’s better to give than to receive’! 😉
